We arrived in Hue to a warm welcome of fresh towelettes, juices and our own name on the board...
Upon discovering that we were a family the doorman quickly changed the sign to say 'Heagney Family'.
After unpacking we decided to take a stroll around the streets. Some of the street vendors were much more familiar with Australians and one guy's "G'day mate, how are you going" sounded like he was straight from the back of Burke.
Gemma got us a good deal on another cyclo ride, which we've decided is a much nicer way to explore than on foot! You get the thrill of the traffic - though Hue is much less crowded than Hanoi - as well as getting to look more at the surrounds, rather than looking down at where you're walking.
After cycling around the citadel walls and through the market streets we were dropped right at our hotel's front door!
It was a great way to spend time in Hue!
We had a lovely meal in the restaurant below the hotel and an early night ready for a day of touring the next day!
Grandma is having fun on the cyclo ride
